WML and XHTML-MP
BlackBerry Wireless Handheld Browser Version 4.1 Content Developer Guide
This document describes how to develope WAP or XHTML-based "Browser Push Apps" for optimal user experience on the BlackBerry. Particularly, it describes how to build an application that, using only HTML, can receive remote information updates. This allows a developer to quickly enable a dynamic web page for use on a BlackBerry device even when the device is frequently in and out of coverage.
Openwave Phone Simulator V7
The Openwave V7 simulator allows a develoepr to emulate the behavior of WAP or XHTML-MP pages on iDEN devices with the V7 version of the Openwave browser. This version is included in Falcon models with rectangular screens of 176x220 pixels.
The simulator also provides emulation for MMS message transfer using an MM& gateway on MMS-enabled devices. The MM7 gateway has not yet been implemented in Nextel markets in Latin America.
Openwave Phone Simulator 4.1.1 (WAP)
The Openwave Phone Simulator 4.1.1 allows a developer to emulate a WAP website on iDEN devices that have the 4.1 version of the Openwave Browser. This version is included in every Condor device as well as every Falcon device with a 130x130 screen or smaller.
