Motorola iDEN J2ME Developers’ Guide 2007

i290/i335 SDK

The Motorola iDEN SDK for J2ME™ Technology (MIDP2.0) supports the building and emulation of J2ME applications for the iDEN (Integrated Digital Enhanced Network) platform. This tool provides developers with J2ME platform APIs and iDEN extensions of J2ME-enabled handsets.

System Requirements
To use and/or install the SDK components, your system must meet the following minimum system requirements:
• 500MHz processor
• 128 MB RAM
• Windows NT/SP5, Windows2000 or Windows XP
• JDK1.3.1, JDK1.4 and JDK1.5
• Pixel resolution: 1024x768
• 32-bit color-display setting recommended

Oak Knoll i706 SDK

Java application administration on iDEN devices

If you need a Java ME application on a Motorola iDEN device to always be active, set it so that it cannot be deleted, or prevent the application permissions from being modified without permission, the newer Motorola iDEN devices have a set of features known as the Enterprise AMS that will be useful.

To take advantage of them, you'll need to follow the following steps:

  • Enter the "Java Apps" menu
  • Enter the following key sequence: *159#
