Partner certification process - Brasil

To become a data solutions partner with Nextel do Brasil, we have established a certification process that has the following goals:

  • Determine that the software and systems developed by a partner prospect meet minimal requirements for quality, reliability and compatibility for safe and effective operation within Nextel do Brasil's packet data network;
  • Ensure that the developer will have the necessary support from Nextel during development, testing and production;
  • Ensure that Nextel do Brasil's IT area has the necessary knowhow about the architecture and workings of the partner's solution, and that Nextel do Brasil IT is in agreement with its design;
  • Determine the best commercial offering for the developer's solution, and establish an appropriate pattern for sales cooperation.

The certification and approval process is as follows:

  1. The developer and Nextel do Brasil sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement (Contrato de confidencialidade);
  2. The developer interested in establishing a partnership completes the Developer/Partner form (Formulário do Desenvolvedor/Parceiro, describing the history of the developer and the technical specifications of the proposed solution;
  3. The developer provides user and administrative documentation for the proposed solution to Nextel do Brasil;
  4. Nextel do Brasil performs a technical evaluation of the proposed solution, accounting for network usage, the application's overall quality and the style and navigation guidelines established in the Certification Criteria (Critério de Homologação);
  5. Nextel, when possible, performs a technical visit to the developer's premises to evaluate available infrastructure, with the goal of ensuring that the operation can scale to meet the demand crated by sales growth;
  6. The developer and Nextel do Brasil sign a Commercial Cooperation Agreement (Acordo de Cooperação Comercial).
    1. Once the partnership is established, the partner and Nextel collaborate to determine pricing schedules, the process for training of Nextel and partner sales staff, and other operational details of the partnership.
