Now with Amazon releasing the Kindle Fire at such a low price point, many are speculating that they are selling it at a loss. This is very possible, considering the cost of engineering and parts.

There is no denying that tablets have had a bigger impact than anybody could have anticipated a few years ago, all thanks to Apple. Their fiercely loyal customers, large app store and iTunes have made the iPad the standard against which all other tablets are compared against.

Now Amazon launches a touch tablet, the Kindle Fire, coming in at a very attractive price point that may make those customers that don't want to pay such a high price think twice about getting a tablet. You can read a high level review of the tablet here.
